Circular pitch, also called pitch, is a crucial thing to consider with Synchro-Link Drives, just like gear or chain drives. On the belt, pitch is the distance between tooth centers and is measured along the belt’s pitch line. Pitch is the distance between groove centers on the pulley and is measured using the pitch curve.
The pitch line of a Synchro-Link Drive Belt is found within the tension member. A Synchro-Link Drive Belt pulley’s pitch circle corresponds to the belt’s mating pitch line.
Synchro-Link Drive Belts must be used with pulleys of the same pitch. A belt of one pitch cannot be successfully utilized with pulleys of another pitch.
