Operation

The discharge volume of the V5B Lubricator can be adjusted by turning the bypass valve counter-clockwise to reduce the pressure and, as a result, reduce the amount of oil being delivered. Conversely, closing the valve will increase the pressure and oil flow. These adjustments can be made manually to ensure the lubricator delivers the appropriate amount of lubricant to the machine’s components.

V5B Lubricator is a reliable and efficient device that simplifies the lubrication process in machinery. Its motor-driven gear pump and controlled constant-volume discharge allow for precise and consistent lubricant delivery, reducing machinery wear and tear and prolonging its lifespan. The ability to manually adjust the discharge volume makes the V5B Lubricator a versatile tool used in various industrial settings.

Discharge Adjustment

The lubricator is preset with the bypass valve closed for a maximum discharge of 132cc per minute (110cc with a 50-cycle motor). With the machine’s lubricator at normal operating temperature, the desired discharge volume is obtained by adjusting the bypass to the pre-calculated pressure on the system pressure gauge (see Bijur Engineering Manual). A relief valve limits pressure internally to 130 psi.

Startup Instructions

1. Fill the reservoir with oil.

2. Start the machine and see that oil flows at all bearings.
