Worm Gear

Exim Engineering provides worm gears required for multiple industrial applications. The worm gears are available with the following options: Single reduction Units(worm)

1. Single Reduction Unit (Worm) -?Series A Junior is offered in unit sizes 280, 410, 510, 610, 730, and 860 based on a single universal case for each size, giving a high degree of common parts and interchangeability. Units can be mounted in the underdriven, overdriven, and vertical mounting positions, and a choice of shaft arrangement can be provided for either motorized or reducer versions. Motors can be closely coupled in frame sizes 56C to 215C in powers from 0.25HP to 10 HP. All units are designed with hollow output bores. Output shafts can be fitted, allowing handling to be changed without dismantling the unit. Double-extended output shafts are also available. There is the choice of 12 standard ratios from 5/1 to 70/1, and important features include high efficiencies.
2. Double Reduction Units(worm/worm) -?These units consist of a standard single reduction unit with a smaller shaft-mounted Radiator fitted to the input shaft. The range extends the ratios available up to a maximum of 4200/1, making them ideal for fitting to slow-moving machinery.

Motorized Units:?The units are designed to be close couples with standard-dimension NEMA motors. They are also available to accept standard-dimension IEC motors.

• The factory-fitted units are filled with synthetic lubricant, which means No oil level checks.
• No routine maintenance or danger of starting up with lubricant.
• It can be mounted in any location, however inaccessible.
• Particularly suitable for locations where non-contamination through leakage is essential.
